Zertifikat in Gold der Deutschen für Nachhaltiges Bauen (Zertifikat DGNB Gold, en. Gold certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council) – German DGNB certification system is a tool for the evaluation of buildings in a comprehensive perspective. It takes into consideration all important elements of sustainable construction and points are being granted within 6 key thematic categories: ecology, economy, social, cultural & functional aspects, technology, planning processes and venue (quality of the construction site). The DGNB system doesn’t assess respective measures but the overall characteristics of the building or the district.
