Within the framework of the project a series of events has been planned, aiming at the promotion of green roofs as a climate adaptation tool and at building local authorities’ knowledge and capacities enabling them to develop own, comprehensive green roof strategies. The events will give opportunity not only to listen to many inspiring presentations, but also to engage in the exchange of experience, ideas and information with German and other Polish cities taking action to mitigate climate change and adapt to its already observed concerquences.

The GRAD project is financed from the European Climate Initiative (contrach number: 81232154) of the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). The EUKI competition for project ideas is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. It is the overarching goal of the EUKI to foster climate cooperation within the European Union (EU) in order to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.
